Financial Modelling
We build accurate financial models that show you where your business is headed, helping Cardiff sole traders and small businesses plan for growth with confidence. Clear forecasts, solid numbers, and the insight you need to make decisions that actually stick.

What we model for you
From cash flow forecasts to scenario planning, we build the spreadsheets that show you the full financial picture and help you test your ideas before you commit.
Three-Statement Financial Models
Income statement, balance sheet and cash flow projections that connect your revenue assumptions to real-world funding needs.
Scenario and Sensitivity Analysis
Test best-case, worst-case and everything in between so you know what happens if sales dip or costs rise.
Business Valuation Models
Build a credible valuation for funding rounds, partnership discussions or sale preparation.
Cash Flow Forecasting
See exactly when money comes in and goes out, so you can plan payroll, stock purchases and growth investments without surprises.
How we build forecasts that actually help
Financial modelling is about turning your business plan into numbers you can trust. We take your historical accounts, your goals for the next 12 to 36 months, and the realities of your market, then build a spreadsheet model that shows revenue, costs, cash flow and profit under different scenarios. It is particularly useful for Cardiff businesses considering expansion, hiring, new premises or applying for funding.
We start with a conversation about where you want to go. Then we gather your past financial data, build the three core statements (income, balance sheet, cash flow), and layer in your assumptions around sales growth, pricing, staffing and overheads. The result is a living document you can update as conditions change.
A good model does not predict the future. It helps you prepare for it.
More information
Once the model is built, we walk you through it. You will see how sensitive your profit is to changes in sales volume, what happens to cash if a big customer pays late, and whether you can afford that extra member of staff in Q3. We also build in scenario testing so you are not caught out if things do not go exactly to plan.
Many of our clients use their model to secure finance. Lenders and investors want to see that you have thought through the numbers, and a well-structured forecast makes those conversations much easier. We have supported businesses across Cardiff and South Wales through growth funding applications, and the model often becomes the backbone of the business case.
What is included
- Historical data review and assumption-setting session
- Three-statement model in Excel (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Sensitivity analysis and scenario planning (best case, base case, worst case)
- Walkthrough meeting to explain the model and how to use it
